Convert Images Between Formats

Limitations

Converting cannot restore quality a file has already lost: a blurry JPG saved as PNG stays blurry, only bigger. GIF output is a still image limited to 256 colours, so photos can look banded; animated GIFs and WebPs keep only their first frame. ICO files are fitted into a square of up to 256 px. Photo details such as camera model and location (EXIF) are not copied into the new file. Safari cannot save WebP; use Chrome, Edge or Firefox for that.
