Combine PDFs Without Uploading Them
Merging puts the pages of several PDF files into one document, one file after another. It is the quickest way to send a single attachment instead of five, or to put an application form, ID proof and certificates into the one file a portal asks for. This tool does the work in your browser, so the documents never leave your device.
How to Use It
- Drop two or more PDFs on the box, or click it to choose them. You can add more files at any time.
- Use the up and down arrows to put the files in order, and the cross to remove one.
- Click Merge PDFs. The combined file downloads as
merged.pdf.
Tips
- Need only some pages of a file? Take them out first with Split PDF, then merge.
- Want to change the order of individual pages after merging? Use Reorder PDF Pages.
- If the merged file is too big for an upload limit, run it through Compress PDF.
- Photos of documents can be turned into PDF pages first with JPG to PDF.
Limitations
Pages are copied exactly, but bookmarks (the outline panel) from the original files are not carried over, and two files with form fields of the same name may clash. Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened until the password is removed in the program that set it. Very large files are limited by your device's memory; on a phone, merge a few at a time.
