PDF Tools That Keep Your Files on Your Device
Most online PDF sites upload your document to their server, process it there and send it back. These tools work differently: the PDF is opened and changed by your own browser, using the open-source pdf-lib and pdf.js libraries, and the result is saved straight to your device. Nothing is uploaded, so they are a safer choice for ID proofs, bank statements, contracts and salary slips - and there are no daily limits, sign-ups or watermarks.
Organise Pages
- Merge PDF and Split PDF - combine files or pull out the pages you need.
- Delete PDF Pages, Reorder PDF Pages and Rotate PDF - tidy up scans.
- Crop PDF - trim wide margins.
Make PDFs Smaller and Convert Them
Get under a portal's upload limit with Compress PDF. Turn photos into a PDF with JPG to PDF, save pages as pictures with PDF to JPG, copy the words out with PDF to Text, and turn notes into a document with Text to PDF.
Sign, Mark and Finish
Add your signature with Sign PDF, stamp CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT with Watermark PDF, number the pages with Add Page Numbers, lock filled-in answers with Flatten PDF Forms, and change or remove hidden properties such as the author with the PDF Metadata Editor.
What Browser Tools Cannot Do
Because everything runs on your device, very large files depend on its memory, and password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. These tools do not do OCR on scanned pages, editing of existing text, or certificate-based digital signatures. For those, use a full desktop PDF editor.
