Rotate PDF

Rotate all pages or only chosen pages of a PDF by 90, 180 or 270 degrees and save the fixed file.

Choose a PDF, rotate the pages that are sideways in the preview and download.

Drag & drop a PDF here, or click to choose

Rotated in your browser - the file is never uploaded.

Or click a page to turn just that page 90° to the right.

Rotation is saved in the file, so the pages open the right way up in every PDF reader.

Fix Sideways and Upside-Down Pages

Scanners and phone apps often save some pages the wrong way round. Rotating them in a viewer only changes your screen; this tool saves the rotation into the file, so the pages open correctly for everyone you send it to.

How to Use It

  1. Choose a PDF. A thumbnail of every page appears.
  2. Click a thumbnail to turn that page 90° clockwise, or use the buttons to rotate every page left, right or 180°.
  3. Click Save Rotated PDF.

How Rotation Is Stored

A PDF page has a rotation setting in multiples of 90°. Changing it does not re-draw or re-compress anything, so the quality and file size stay the same and text remains selectable.

Limitations

Only quarter turns are possible; a page scanned slightly crooked cannot be straightened by a few degrees. Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first. To remove or rearrange pages as well, use Delete PDF Pages and Reorder PDF Pages.
