Crop PDF

Trim the margins of PDF pages by setting how much to cut from each side, with a live preview of the first page.

Choose a PDF, set the margins to trim and check the preview before downloading.

Cropped in your browser - the file is never uploaded.

Cropping hides the trimmed area rather than deleting it, so the file size stays about the same.

Trim the Margins of PDF Pages

Wide white margins waste space on a phone screen and in printouts. Cropping cuts them off, which also helps when you want to focus on one part of a page, such as a chart or a scanned receipt.

How to Use It

  1. Choose a PDF. A preview of page 1 appears.
  2. Enter how many millimetres to trim from the top, bottom, left and right. The dashed box shows what is kept.
  3. Leave Pages empty to crop every page, or enter ranges such as 1-3.
  4. Click Crop PDF.

How Cropping Works in a PDF

A PDF page has a crop box that tells readers which area to show and print. This tool changes that box. Nothing inside the page is re-drawn, so the quality is unchanged and text stays selectable.

Limitations

The trimmed area is hidden, not deleted: it can be restored with a PDF editor, so do not use cropping to remove private information. The file size stays about the same. Pages of different sizes are trimmed by the same amounts, and the preview shows only page 1. To turn sideways pages first, use Rotate PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Cropping changes what readers show; the trimmed area is still in the file and can be restored with a PDF editor. Do not use it to hide private information.

Yes. Enter the pages in the Pages box, such as 2-4. Leave it empty to crop every page by the same margins.
