Add Your Signature to a PDF
Printing a document, signing it and scanning it back takes time. This tool lets you draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or finger, or type your name in a handwriting font, and place it on any page of a PDF. The document and your signature stay on your device.
How to Use It
- Choose the PDF to sign. The first page appears on the right.
- Draw your signature in the box, or switch to Type and enter your name. Choose blue or black ink.
- Pick the page, then click on it where the signature should go. Adjust the width with the slider.
- Click Save Signed PDF.
Tips for a Neat Signature
- On a laptop, a trackpad gives smoother lines than a mouse; on a phone, sign with your finger in landscape.
- Blue ink makes it clear the document was signed rather than photocopied.
- Need initials on every page? Sign one page at a time, then number the pages with Add Page Numbers.
Limitations
This adds a picture of your signature. It is not a certificate-based digital signature (DSC), which is required for things such as some income tax, GST and MCA filings in India. Whether an image signature is accepted depends on the other party. Form fields stay editable; to lock them, use Flatten PDF Forms after signing.
